THE JOURNEY IS EVERYTHING

The Journey is Everything is a 5' x 4' mixed media artwork consisting of 27 panels
reflecting my healing journey over the last year. Each panel reflects a lesson learned, gift received or important
quality that was woven into the tapestry of my life during my recovery (or in all our journeys).

The original tapestry has been purchased by a donor and the artwork now hangs at the Jonathan Jacques Cancer Unit at Long Beach Women and Children's Miller Memorial Hospital.

You can order smaller commissions of any panel or assorted groups of panels
(framed or unframed/matted). See choices and examples below.

Each piece is a 3d mixed media fine art original. Foils, acrylics and lightweight metals are cut, fused together with heat, inlaid and sometimes painted for extra color and design. The result is an image that is textural, dimensional, metallic and vibrant.

The hand represents all the healing energy that flows from our hands -
two hands clasped in prayer, a loving touch
or a hand clasp that comes from the heart.

BALANCE

Move from a place of center and you will find a balance which reveals what's important and what is most healing.
A calm, balanced mind and grounded place allows for
clarity wisdom and healing.

NATURE

Nature is our greatest teacher, healer and comforter. Spend time sitting in nature and breathe in its peace, present moment
and healing energy.

Sit, quiet the mind and breathe into the present moment.
Let go, observe and return to the breath,
again and again.

GRATITUDE

Gratitude opens the heart. It is healing because it allows us to see seeming dangers as blessings. Gratitude is part of the endless circle of giving and receiving love. It connects us with everyone and allows us to live in a state of perpetual appreciation and grace.

STILLNESS

Stillness is the center of healing, truth and connection with everything and everyone. In stillness are silent and connect with the voice of the Divine and our own inner truth.

HEALTH

Treating our body with love creates a landscape for optimum healing.
We take charge of our health by the choices
we make each and every day.

BREATHE

Just breathe. Everything begins and ends with the breath. It connects us inward to every cell and outward to everything… and this precious
moment in time.

PRAYER

DREAM

If you believe it, you can conceive it… and receive it!
Fear is our limitation. Reach for the stars.
The sky is the limit.

LOVE: THE OPEN HEART

Our life is an endless circle of giving and receiving love. With love there is no separation between any of us. The love we give comes back to us hundred-fold. Love opens our body, mind and spirit and is the truly the healing force.

are the gifts within our challenges.

JOY

Joy comes from gratitude, love and passion. Sometimes it is difficult
to see joy in the face of misfortune yet its energy

It takes a village to go through all the challenges of recovery.

FAMILY

is our foundation of love and support - whether it is by blood or cherished
loved ones. We can rest in them "having our back."

Saying yes allows us to stay open to the gifts in our
challenges, healing energy and to reside in gratitude and trust in
the bigger picture.

with the breath.

It has to be the going, not the getting there that is good. If we are waiting for some desired outcome
or destination, then we miss out on the present, precious moment that is our lives.
Without judgment or labels, we can then embrace the beautiful tapestry of our lives.

Sometimes it feels dark, but move towards even a hint of the light and feel a sense of peace and love.
